English Competition – The 4th FPG Universities SDGs English Four-Frame Comic Strips Contest 2026

Event Purpose

The competition aims to:

• increase students’ interest in English learning,

• encourage creative English expression,

• and enhance awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Through this activity, students are encouraged to develop practical ideas and actions as responsible global citizens.

Eligibility

Students from all departments of the three FPG universities may participate, including international students whose native language is not English.

Important Dates

Registration Deadline

From now until Tuesday, April 7, 2026

When completing the Google registration form, participants must also provide the English title of their work.

Award Announcement

Winning entries will be announced on Monday, May 11, 2026 on the Language Center website of Ming Chi University of Technology.

Competition Rules

Theme

Participants must create a four-frame comic based on one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Poster Requirements

• Artwork may be:

  • digitally created, or

  • hand-drawn.

• The comic must use:

  • A4-sized paper

  • divided evenly into four frames

  • arranged from left to right and top to bottom.

English Language Requirements

• The comic content must include English words or sentences.

• At least two frames must contain English text.

• The total English word count must exceed 10 words.

• Entries without English text will be disqualified.

Team Size

Each work may include 1 to 3 students from the same university.

1. The organizer reserves the right to determine participant eligibility in case of disputes.

2. The organizer reserves the right to modify event details, and updates will be announced on the official competition website.

3. The organizer reserves the right to interpret and revise the competition rules if necessary.

4. All participants will receive certificates of participation, and instructors of participating teams will receive certificates of appreciation.
